Currently, the Namo Bharat trains are being prepared to run short distances in major Uttar Pradesh cities, such as Meerut-Saharanpur and Lucknow-Kanpur. This would reduce the distance between districts and enhance connectivity. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed the public about the UP's planned activities via a virtual press conference.

All major stations will have stoppages for these trains, and they will also be equipped with AC bogies. A budget of Rs 19,858 crore has been allotted to Uttar Pradesh, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Additionally, Rs 1.04 thousand crore is being invested in the state. Furthermore, Amrit Bharat stations as well as double and triple lines are being built at a rapid pace.

Amrit Bharat Yojana:

He claims that over the previous ten years, 5200 km of new lines had been built in Uttar Pradesh. 157 stations are being established through the Amrit Bharat Yojana. The capacity of the stations has increased as a result. He claims that 20 districts in Uttar Pradesh are traversed by 14 Vande Bharat trains. The Amrit Bharat train travels through ten Uttar Pradesh districts on its route from Darbhanga to Delhi.
