Good news for UP Travellers! Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will now run till Varanasi. The goal of this is to increase the number of passengers. A survey and feasibility report have been requested from Northern Railway Lucknow Division.

The Vande Bharat Express between Meerut and Lucknow was well appreciated when it was launched by the railway authorities. The number of passengers travelling from Meerut to Lucknow is currently lower than the number travelling from Lucknow to Meerut. And as a result, the railways are suffering because of this. There is an intention to extend the train to Varanasi in order to accommodate more passengers.

From December 11 to December 15, there are 302, 343, 353, 347, and 324 seats available in the chair car of train number 22490 Vande Bharat Express, which runs from Meerut to Lucknow. The cost is 1,355 rupees. There are five open seats in the executive class on the mentioned dates in seats 12, 18, 32, and 28. The cost of the ticket for this class is Rs 2,415.

Even though the train was well accepted at first, there are currently few passengers travelling from Meerut to Lucknow, which results in revenue losses. By drawing in additional travellers, the extension seeks to rectify this imbalance.
