Meerut is set to witness a grand celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. From early morning, the streets of Meerut will come alive with floral decorations, lights, and devotional chants. Temples will be adorned with marigold garlands, peacock feathers, and colorful drapes, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Mathura and Vrindavan.
ISKCON Meerut will be the spiritual epicenter, hosting multi-day celebrations with soulful bhajans, Dahi Handi competitions, and enchanting Ras Leela performances that narrate episodes from Krishna’s life.
Given the scale of the celebrations, the Meerut administration is deploying over 2,600 police personnel to maintain peace during processions and ensure smooth traffic management. CCTV surveillance will be active at key locations, and first-aid kiosks will be set up near major temples.
