Situated in Meerut cantonment, the Dogra temple is an important center of worship for the residents of the city and tourists alike. Built in the regiment area, the temple is taken care of by the army people but it is open to public for visit to seek blessings of Maa Jwala.

Often, Maa Jwala is seen in other temples in the form of a flame. But at Dogra temple, the goddess can be seen in idol form. The temple which was built by the Dogra Regiment of the army in 1974 is also called the temple of Jwala Maa and has devotees thronging every day to see the idol form of Maa.

Inside the temple, Maa Jwala is seated in the middle. Nine other goddesses are seated in the Parikrama path around the temple. Shivshambhu is also seated with them. There are two other temples outside the main building- one being a Hanuman temple and other devoted to Lord Shiva. The huge Shivlinga in this Shiva temple makes it a major center of faith in the auspicious month of Savan.

Not just the temple, the area around it is also extremely peaceful and serene. The temple premises has a garden, home to many types of fruits, Indian flowers as well as foreign flowers. Devotees also have access to a water tank at the entrance.

If you are in or around Meerut, go to the Dogra temple and seek blessings of the almighty.
