Meerut Metro Latest Update: Trial Started Till Modipuram

Meerut Metro Trials Extend to Modipuram, Boosting Connectivity

In a latest update, the trail of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail has started from Shatabdinagar (Jagran Chauraha) station to Modipuram from May 1. Soon, trail will also begin from Meerut Central (Football Chowk) station to Modipuram. As of now, the trail of metro rack is going on from Meerut South to Football Chowk station.

The Meerut Metro has a total length of 23 km. Out of this, 18 km is elevated 5 km is underground. In totality, 13 stations are being built including three which are underground. Services of Meerut Metro will be available at all these stations.

After Meerut South, Namo Bharat services will begin at Shatabdi Nagar, Begumpul (underground) and Modipuram stations. All of these stations are set to become major transit hub of the city. Apart from Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and Meerut Metro, travellers can also avail auto, taxi and bus services.
