Meerut is taking a major step towards sustainable urban mobility. Starting February 1, the city will introduce 50 electric city buses that will operate exclusively on urban routes, aiming to ease traffic congestion and reduce environmental impact.

Connecting Key Areas Across the City:

The new electric buses will connect Meerut Medical College, the metro station, and other major residential and commercial areas, making daily commutes smoother for students, professionals, and residents. By improving last-mile connectivity, the initiative is expected to significantly reduce dependence on private vehicles.

Routes For The Electric Buses:

1. Medical College to City Station

2. Begumpul to Bhoodbaral (via Rohta Road)

3. Begumpul to Bhudbaral (via Metro Plaza)

4. Medical College Garh Road to Siwaya Toll, then North East Metro Station

5. Medical College to Kanshi Village (near Partapur), via Begumpul

6. Begumpul to Rithani Metro Station (via HRS Chowk, Shopprix Mall)

7. Begumpul to Ganga Sagar (via Saket Chowpla, IIM-T University)
