One of North India’s most iconic and historic fairs, the Nauchandi Mela 2026, is all set to begin on May 13, 2026, in Meerut. The annual fair will be formally inaugurated followed by Mata ki Chowki. This will mark the beginning of weeks filled with shopping, entertainment, traditional food, cultural performances, and vibrant festivities.

Known as the cultural heartbeat of Meerut, the Nauchandi Mela attracts thousands of visitors every year from across western Uttar Pradesh and nearby states. From giant rides and handicraft stalls to local delicacies and devotional traditions, the fair beautifully blends heritage with modern entertainment.

Over the years, the mela has evolved from a cattle trading fair into one of Uttar Pradesh’s biggest cultural attractions featuring:

  • Traditional handicrafts

  • Street food stalls

  • Shopping bazaars

  • Amusement rides

  • Folk music and performances

  • Local business showcases

  • Family entertainment zones

This year’s edition promises to be bigger and more visitor-friendly than ever. According to reports, major preparations including lighting installations, rides, and vendor setups are already underway.

The newly introduced “Zero Gravity Mixer Ride” is expected to become one of the biggest crowd-pullers this year. Organizers say the ride offers a unique spinning experience unlike regular amusement rides. For the first time, electric golf carts will be available for children and senior citizens to comfortably explore the mela grounds.

The Nauchandi Mela remains a major part of that cultural identity — bringing together families, tourists, shopkeepers, artists, and food lovers under one vibrant celebration.

If you are in Meerut this May, the Nauchandi Mela 2026 is an experience you simply cannot miss.
